Hampshire Pageant of Motoring, Broadlands, Romsey - 30/08/04
For the first ever Pageant it was pretty good. I am sure this event will go from strength to strength in years to come. The sun was out most of the day and there was a good turnout.
There where all manner of vehicles there as you would expect, from Kenwood Artics to motorbikes and pretty much everything in between. My mate Guy also decided to take his Porsche Spyder replica along so we drove them over in the usual formation. As seems to inevitably happen wherever we take them they ended up not parked next to each other. So yet again I couldn't get a decent shot of the two side by side.
There was quite a lot going on there with the usual stunt riders clowns etc. so as to keep the younger generation happy whilst they were dragged around by their dads.
Based on the turnout and event, I will probably be going again next year. The only problem is that the show is on at the same time as Breamore, which is a bit of a shame, because I can imaging that many people will give up on Breamore in favour of the Broadlands event. Many of the vehicles that I saw at Breamore yesterday where at the Broadlands event today so I would be interested to know if there were many motors there today as it was the concourse judging day.
I took way too many photos, but have narrowed it down to the ones below for the site. Many are of real classics, there are quite a few military and some just weird.
